Пиксельные фигуры VIRURO нарисованы по классическому набору силуэтов «cburnett» Колина М. Л. Бёрнетта (Wikimedia Commons): силуэты перенесены на пиксельную сетку 24×24, конь отзеркален, крест короля и корона ферзя упрощены, цвета — собственная палитра игры. Автор предлагает набор на выбор под лицензиями GFDL, BSD и GPL; VIRURO использует его под лицензией BSD, текст которой приводится ниже.
VIRURO's pixel-art pieces are drawn after the classic "cburnett" silhouettes by Colin M. L. Burnett (Wikimedia Commons): the silhouettes are rasterised onto a 24×24 pixel grid, the knight is mirrored, the king's cross and the queen's crown are simplified, the colours are the game's own palette. The author offers the set under a choice of the GFDL, BSD and GPL licences; VIRURO uses it under the BSD licence reproduced below.
